Pinterest Idea Pins are multi-page video pins that highlight video content first. They are targeting influencers or creators. Idea pins are more like an upgraded version of Story Pins. It is the new way influencers and users can engage with their audiences by sharing an Idea Pin.


Idea Pins have advanced and great features to make the videos more creative and eyecatching. Video creators can record and edit video content in up to 20 pages with tools like voiceover recording, background music, transitions, and other interactive elements. Idea Pins allow topic tagging, which helps to connect content with relevant interests. Pins can contain up to 10 topic tags, so they can be distributed in a more targeted way to users via Home and Search feeds.

In Idea Pins, videos are the most engaging and attractive element since they are more enjoyable to watch. It is also more attractive to potential brand partners and customers.

Idea Pins are Now Shoppable

Pinterest has evolved from a digital scrapbook to a massive catalog of millions of products uploaded by retailers. It is more likely that Pinterest visitors will visit Idea Pins with tagged products rather than standalone Product Pins.


Pinterest made it easy for brands to earn and grow their businesses by making Idea Pins shoppable. Creators can now tap into that massive catalog by adding product tags to their Idea Pins, enabling Pinners to directly shop from the pins and purchase.

Build Brand Partnerships through Idea Pins

Pinterest Idea Pins are also a great way to build brand partnerships. A creator can add a brand’s tag directly to their Idea Pin and that Pin will include a “paid partnership” label once the brand approves the tag. In addition, this tool will allow Creators to expose partnerships with brands and make it easier for them to connect with relevant audiences.


With Idea Pins, creators will be able to create long-lasting and high-quality Pins that are more actionable and shoppable.

Countries Available for Idea Pins

The Idea Pins product tagging tool is now available to all US and UK business accounts. It will be rolled out to international creators in the future. Currently, paid partnerships are now available for selected creators in these regions below:
